Seen an animal and not sure whether it belongs to someone? Report it here.

When should you use this form?

You have seen a dog, cat or other animal that looks lost or stray, and you do not know whether it belongs to someone. This is different from the "I found an animal" report: that one is for when you have the animal with you. Here you are only reporting that you have seen the animal.

This is different from:

Report a sighting
If you have seen a known missing pet (from our database)
Report a found pet
If you have the animal with you and are looking for its owner
Report missing pet
If your own pet is missing

48-hour status check

After your report, we'll send you an email every 48 hours asking whether the animal has still been sighted. This keeps our overview accurate and lets everyone know whether a report is still valid.
